Mantou Assistant: a free toolkit for iOS devices
A product note on Mantou Assistant, its iOS compatibility decisions, core capabilities, and development boundaries.
This article documents personal development and product practice. Verify time-sensitive details against the current product page and applicable service terms.
Mantou Assistant (mtzs / AppFlex) started with a concrete goal: bring common iOS device tasks into one clear desktop tool instead of sending users through scattered scripts, complex commands, and opaque installation flows.
What it helps with
- App Store app downgrades: select an available historical version.
- Virtual location: supports iOS 15 and later for personal testing and development.
- IPA signing: import, sign, and follow a guided installation flow.
- No Wi-Fi requirement: work over a wired device connection.
- New-system compatibility: continue adapting to new iOS releases.
- Xiangse installation: complete installation with the in-app guide.
System requirements
The unified minimum is iOS 15.0+, and virtual location supports iOS 15+. Desktop builds are available for Windows and macOS; current download links are listed on the installation page.
Responsible virtual-location use
Virtual location is limited to personal testing and development. Using it for unlawful activity, fraud, regulatory evasion, interference with others, or violations of platform rules is strictly prohibited. Users remain responsible for complying with applicable laws and service terms.
Why it is part of the blog
Mantou Assistant no longer represents the entire website. It is one product I build and maintain, documented as a living project article. The broader blog also covers independent development, deployment, payments, and product practice.
